Havana Guide
This guide book to Havana Cuba will be loaded with local information
about things to do, sites to see and places to visit in Havana.
Check back for a publication date for our first issue. The Havana Guide will
feature local discounts to tourist attractions, specialty maps, local information along with directories for
hotels, casas particulares, paladares, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and music venues throughout greater
Havana.
The guide will be free but contain a discount card and day pass to participating
venues for a small fee. We plan to launch an "I was there" type blog feature to this site so visitors can
share their experiences with fellow travelers. Also, watch for our HavanaGuide.mobi site so you can find
restaurants, hotels, beaches and other destinations near you via your GPS enabled mobile phone.
Here are just some of the information categories that you will find
in the Havana Guide.
- Arts
- Beaches and Tide Chart
- Calendar of Events
- Cigars
- Concerts (celebrity, jazz, outdoor, free, paid)
- Couples (dinning, dancing, movies, sex clubs)
- Lodging
- Museums
- Music
- Outdoors
- Restaurants and Paladares
- Scuba
- Sports
- Transportation
Regarding distribution: All print
media is controlled by the Cuban government so the Havana Guide may be the ONLY printed source for advertisements
available in Cuba. If we cannot negotiate distribution points with the Cuban government, we will seek to establish
distribution relationships with cruise lines and air lines for on-ship and in-flight distribution to travelers that
are en route to Cuba.
We will also offer the Havana Guide publication along with tourist brochures here
at HavanaGuide.com so visitors can read the Guide before they travel. We are also working on other creative
distribution methods and plan to work with an established tourist guide publisher and international travel
destination magazine publisher to develop, design, print and distribute the Havana Guide legally to
visitors in Cuba and to those people planning to travel to Cuba.
Ask about our distribution services for your printed materials in
Havana and beyond.
Pick up a Havana Guide (publication) and a Cuban Guide (local
expert) and get the most out of your Cuban vacation.
Check out Cuba Forum and HavanaJournal.com before you go and remember to
"Read. Discover. Understand."
At this time, the Cuban government does not allow independent
publications to circulate published materials. However, we do like GuiaHabana.com for local information.
